Hi, its been a long time since I've been around. I have found myself in an unfortunate situation of needing to move my fish (possibly rehome) and possibly my 90g tank. For those who might remember me, my tank is at my office. A pipe has cracked in my office and it looks like the repair work is going to be extensive, requiring me to move most if not all furniture and belongings. Its unclear how soon the work is going to start or how long I will need to be out for. Knowing how these things tend to go, I am anticipating a few months from the day I move out.
Anyhow, I definitely need to move my fish (7, two of which are small tangs), and suspect I'll need to move the tank as well so the contractors can do the repair work (if the tank doesnt move it will need to be partially emptied, tarped, and sealed). At this point I dont really even know what I need in yerms of help. I'm trying to figure out which fish I can move to my small tanks at home, how quickly (one tank at home is dry and one is fallow), and what to do about the tangs. I think my whitetailed bristletooth will be okay short term by himself in a 42 hex as long as there is a full perimeter so he can swim. He is not a particularly active tang. But I'm less certain whether that tank could also accomodate my chocolate tang, even short term. And neither could live there long term if I am not allowed to set my work tank back up after I move back in (which Ive heard rumblings of).
I guess at this point I am wondering if anyone might be willing to help me move stuff when needed; has a fish trap I could borrow; might be willing to foster my chocolate tang; might have cycled and clean rocks I could borrow for my dry tank?
I also know a BOD member works at my office but don't know how to connect with him for possible help - if a BOD member sees this and knows who I am talking about (I don't want to publicly share where I work) could you please connect me?
Thank you so much to anyone who sees this and can offer some advice or help! (And I apologize for sp and grammer, I'm on my cell phone and can't review the post easily!)
