Tank Too HOT

Wow, that's cool (but also a bit confusing). I assume there is some air space between the lights and water, right? Can you set up a 3" or 4" fan blowing across the water inside the canopy? This would add some evaporation, and the canopy vent fans would vent it out.

Steve, the thing is, most of the minifridge chillers are compressor driven, so they burn out, this is peltier driven, so it wont burn out. Will it be effective? I have no idea.
I know what your saying, but I have read posts on RC where people have tried it with the peltier driven units as well. If I remember correctly, someone made one out of a "Hello Kitty" on they got for very cheap. When it didn't work, someone that sounded like they new very much about how the peltier technology works commented on it. If I remember correctly, he said that they transfer the heat pretty slowly. And that you would have to run the water so slowly through it that it would be ineffective.

Save My Money

Maybe I will juut save my $30 then. I have the floor fan blowing across the front of the tank which seems to have helped alot (but it could be because it was cooler today), down to an almost healthy 82 degrees. I am going away this weekend though and leaving the care to my roomate, Cross your fingers for me.

I'm not sure how accurate that is...

Peltiers are used for heat sinks on Computer processors, most are for people who overclock and crank the heck out of the chip. These chips cannot take the heat they generate. So it has to take the heat out instantly off the chip.
