Murphy's Law
Haven't gotten to my Ac's yet, living on the second floor is hell.

Display hit 80.9 with a fan on a controller w/ 12pm-8pm lighting scedule

Frag tank hit 85 (not good) fan is running now. Reverse light schedule now in effect.

90g display I set up the other day in my buddies house hit 83 ( chiller is not installed yet, gonna try the fan approach first )

Jen said our tank got up to 83......I have two new AC window units, just haven't got them in the windows yet:o.

Ah, New England weather, got to love it. Give it a minute it'll change. Today was a prime example with a little bit of everything, except a snow squall.

And yes my tanks temperatures are up a little on the high side as well as I expected. A taste of what's in store for us. Time to get the air conditioners going.

I hit 83 today. I had to add frozen 2L bottles to cool it down.

seemed like only yesterday!

walmart has some nice white clip on fans guys, I think they are like $6.00, just some FYI a fan can evaporate more btu's of heat than a 8,000 btu AC in the room the tanks in.

Providing the ambient temps arent like 90....alot cheaper to run an AC @ 80 with a fan than at 72 and no fan.

Just to give you an idea of how well a fan works, temps were 85 1hour ago, now they are 82.4 with the fan, Yah it's not good to bring temps down fast, it's far worse to cook a tank however....

That's our plan for the summer to save on the electric bill:cool:.

The new tank ranges from 79.7 to 80.2 with one fan in the canopy.
I did have the AC on a couple of times today, it might have hit 80.4 yesterday w/o the AC on

88

:(

84.. and my eyes fell out of my head:eek:

I hit 83 only because I forgot to switch my swanky diy controller into cool mode.
Usually happens the first warm day or so. Then I get the hint to switch into cool mode before I go to work. The ac3 is in the works really soon.

OOOO ACIII.....NICE, I could only swing the JR which should be here shortly:cool:.

83 and change today.

Just ordered a few clip-on fans from Amazon. They'll be here tomorrow.
Do you have a link for the particular fans you narrowed it down to on Amazon. I'd be interested in 2 fans but if the S&H is cheaper than the gas to Walmart then I'll weigh the difference.

I heard/read about that Barry very cool on the JR.
I wanted a JR a while back and decided that the ethernet on the ac3 was 1 of the most important features to me. Work is going good so I think it is time to treat myself.

88! Wow, hope things are okay.

I freaked out b/c my living room was a sauna and the tank was at 83 when I got home today despite the large fan on a controller I have been inching up to 80 from 78 over the last 2 weeks.

Things are slowly normalizing.

Time to get the the basement sump project going (it is in the low 70s tops down there).

84 with the new light (Maristar 2x250 HQI 2 39W T5HO) and central a/c on, might need to get a chiller if it goes any higher with the air on.
