trouble with Pinpoint calcium monitor!!!

I just bought this off another member. It calibrated easily. I went by the directions perfectly. Then i dipped it in a cup of my tank water and.......0! It's been 40 minuted now and it won't read anything. Where did i mess up? Thanks for any help.........

Randy H-F reviewed this device and found it pretty hard to use.

sounds about right. I also had trouble with the PH probe calibration. Took 1 houtr to settle in on 1 number.

I read reviews as well, it seams as though it cloggs up very easy to the membrane that reads the calcium...I think you have to rinse it or something...

Just re-calibrated it and same thing, 0!!!!!! I even dipped it in the 100PPM solution and then tried my tank water, both 0...I read that whole thread on RC and still don't know what to do.

lol, what i meant was it would be a really big waste for me because im a kid and I dont have much money and if it didnt work then I would have blown $200, didn't mean to insult good luck with it
