Trying to decide between 8 bulb or 6 bulb T5 for a 180

Pros to and 8 are more light , better color choices BTW ATI fixture . I would like the Hybrid but its just too much money

Pro's to the 6 bulb , can get one used cheap lol. But will it be enough ?

With 24" width, I would go with 6 bulbs. I don't think the extra two bulbs are worth the price of new if you can get a 6 bulbs used.

I was always rid the eight was better than six. I believe it is spectrum related.

If you want to keep SPS from front to the back of the tank, then 6 bulbs is not enough. I currently have a 6 bulbs Sunpower on my 120 gallons (4'x2'x2'). If I move the light to the front to get 300 Pars in the front, then the back is very dim and only have 150 to 200 pars. If you want to keep SPS only in the back and LPS and other stuffs in front, then 6 bulbs would work out just fine.
