I bought some water from skiptons about a month ago and never used it. Its been sealed in one of the skiptons containers with the screw-on top. would this water be ok to use it for a water change even though its a month old, and hasnt been circulating?

I know the store that I mget my water at said, water can sit a month or so with no problems, just make shure temp is the same.

it should be OK...just aerate it and bring it up to temperature at the right salinity.

Is it water they make up at the store or one of the commercially bottled varieties?

I've got no experience with using salt water that has been sealed in a container for a month. If it were me, and I had any doubts I would pour it down the drain.

I agree with Jay, it should be fine just do those two things... If in doubt test ammonia, nitrite, nitrates, calc, alk, and mag for more piece of mind...

Miller, it sounds like he's just got a container of RO water, not mixed saltwater. But, if it IS mixed salt, i'd tend to agree with you.
