Water circulation question

Hey all,
I have a 90g reef tank with 2 Koralia #4 pumps, along with my return pump, and
I believe that this is too much because any way that I position them, the flow makes my corals clam up (no pun intended).

I have a power strip that makes one turn on for about 2 minutes and then the other one does the same, but my corals are still being whip lashed.

Should I use the #3's instead? Are there any suggested flow diagrams?
Is a pump at the bottom pointed upward an option?

Thanks!

Dan

as far as gph per gallons of volume or turnovers youre fine.
aim the power heads at each other or at walls or corners to break up the flow

If your corals are mostly softies then you should be fine with 2 K3s or one K4. I had 2 K4s and 2 tunze 6045s in a 4' 120 gal with mostly sps.

I have a 90 with two #4's and one #1 and my return and I want more flow. Just find a good place to aim them so they arent directly on your corals.

Your flow does not sound excessive for that tank, where are they in the tank and where are they pointing?

I have a 90g with 2 K3's opposite one another pointing downward, works beautiful.

i have 2 korilla 3's in my 110 with a y-pipe on my return
