I have been running my Brand New Current UV for about 5months now. Anyone have any advice on how to monitor when to change the bulb or how long it is reommended to go between changings???......am i supposed to be cleaning this thing as well???? thx
A UV bulb will last between 7500 and 9000 hours if it is not cycled on and off very much. The effective energy will drop off the most in the last 1500 hours or so. Cleaning is related to how clean the water going in is. Your most worried about mineral build up, once or twice a year should be enough. The quartz sleeves are very thin and easy to break.
