So Ive had a small flase perc for a few weeks and I was in Petco in Quincy yesterday and they had some really nice condylactis anenomes so I bought up a few. I know this can take some time, or it might not happen at all. The girl working there said that false percs wont host those types of nems, is that true? I'm bummed if it is, though they still look nice. Also, he is constantly doing laps around the top of the tank, never seems to do much mid or low in the water colum. Kind of frustrating, suppose I should get used to it. Thanks for any help.

I believe she is right, in most cases the clowns WONT host the condylactis anenomes
you want a BTA for that type clown

She is right you need a bta or a seabae.

Uhg, that is disappointing. Anyone wanna trade a BTA for a few condylactis, lol? I wasn't aware false percs host so few anenome types. Thanks for the replys though.

You said in another post your tank has only been up for two months. You shouldn't have a anemone it's too early.

Also, 12 nitrates is too high for one. They need pristine water conditions to thrive.

I have a platinum clown that host my Tyree toadstoole its pretty cool how he does it.

I have two pairs of clownfish host in two giant toad stools. It seems toad stools really work as clownfish host. Also, toadstool doesn't move like anemone which can be a pain.
