Xenia issues - question!

Bob, LOL, softy tanks with xenia do not need a lot of flow; and never put it in the path of a powerhead or return.:D In my 75 gallon tank I had two maxjet 900 and a wavemaster. I upgraded to two 6025 Tunze to save electricity and I had to face the powerheads straight up because it was too much flow. So remember, when someone tells you they have 1,000,000 gallons per hour of flow in the tank, it's not always a good thing. That's why you end up with xenia all over your tank and you end up hating the stuff.:D Just my two cents. Experiment, shut off your pumps and watch your xenia pulse away.;) Hope that answerers you question.:)

Thanks Ronnie,

That's exactly what I did.I ended up taking out MJmod and putting in a regular MJ1200.And I actually have one pointed straight up.:)
The xenia is starting to pulse more and more everyday.Between battles with cyano and other issues I've moved my Phs around and added more flow over the past year.Since I've cut back things seem to be a lot happier.I hope someday I can get an explosion of motion that you have with your xenia.
Personally I think xenia is all right in my book.As long as it's controlled and kept seperated from the main rock scape.

Thanks again all... and scoobnoob, then I know who to contact if it dies off and I need a replacement bunch huh? :D

At this rate everyone can have free Xenia, I've got so many colonies and it's spreading still, I will need to thin it out soon, the only problem is I live in Central Maine. Anyone coming to Vacationland this summer?
