Ya gotta hate bone moves

I was moving some corals in my tank. I set a colony of Tubs blues on a rock about mid level in the tank. Thought it was sitting pretty well. Wrong can't find it anywhere. This was around 100 polyps. Just can't decide if it's worth ripping the rock work apart.:(

that sucks

Bummer! They'll turn up. :)

Bummer! They'll turn up. :)

Not unless I do some pretty serious rock removal. The rock work in my 210 is mostly 6 very large marco rocks. Just don't think it's worth the risk.
Just going to go down as a stupid move on my part.

that sucks. use a merer to find them. then use tweezers.

That's a lot easier said then done in a 30" deep 210.

got any scuba gear? lol. there nice coral.

ill bring my 7 year old sister over and she will go diving in your tank. for a frag or 10 of coarse.

Can't even see it Corey. I think it must have fallen in the abyss.

Be patient and go fishing with tongs in the void area you can't see. Reach in, grab and lift, repeat......... Sooner or later you might just find it that way. It's worked for me before.

It can't be all that far from where you last saw it. Give it a shot, what do you have to lose?

good luck tracking them down Bill

I'm a big fan of the feel where you can't see and hope there isn't a mantis technique.

ouch, that sucks...I just lost one of my 20+ polyp zoa frags the same way, it got knocked off the rock and the engineer goby pushed it into his cavern....almost knocked the rocks over fishing it back out.

....I'm beginning to think the engineer goby may need to find a new home :(

That sucks Bill.
I had the same thing happen with a nicely covered frag plug of tubs when I moved into my 90 gallon.I put it on a rock and never seen it again.Even took the rocks apart again.....nothing.

Owie that is a bummer to hear Bill, lost a few things myself in a 55g-never found them, can't imagine searching in a 210g!:( I hope you find them or something better :)

I can't stand when this stuff happens, I really need to buy epoxy, stuff falls all the time. Luckily, I have a 12 gallon, so it's only so hard to find.

That sucks, may just have to call it a loss. Not worth tearing the rockscape apart for, try the blind grab if you can...... Sounds easier said than done. Good luck!

Not looking good. All I got so far was bitten by that dam algae blenny that thinks he owns the entire 210.
