Got one Sunday.

Didn't eat sunday night, tried PE mysis, cyclopeeze, pellets, flake, formula 1 and formula 2.

Even put a chunk of rock with those white feather dusters in from my fuge, no joy.

Didn't eat offered food Monday, AM or PM

Didn't even eat a fresh clam this morning :(

Ate PE mysis tonight. PHEW!

Nice!!!!! Good luck with him

Damn, they sure do have a selection of food to choose from huh? Lol.

Nice. Never tried one but I know that they are difficult sometimes so glad you got him to eat. That is quick too. I have had fish who have taken a week to eat.

Mine did the same, all went well for about 6 weeks then decided to stop and unfortunately RIP :( . Spent a fortune on food when he stopped and tried every trick in the book.
Best of luck, beautiful fish but difficult, many good posts on this site to help along.

Same story as Mnavick. Mine was healthy as can be, loved mysis, brine, dried. 5 weeks later found it dead on the bottom. Wasn't even thin.

Can't seem to use a picture of one of my living fish as my avatar because I loved it so much.

Best of luck - they are quite beautiful.

It was probably cyanide poisoning in all those instances. I have had the same thing happen 4 times now. Its finally time to give up on non - Australian ones for me.

This one lived @ the LFS for 6 weeks before I picked it up.....we'll see how it goes.

Good news, Jay.

Good luck with that sucker!

i had a cbb and he did not eat for for four days. one day we decided to buy fresh clam at the grocery store and he ate it. from that day we always tried to give him frozen mysis, brine shrimp and he didn't eat any of it. the only thing he ate was fresh clam. i finally decided that i could not afford that fish. feeding fresh clams every day twice a day. and he also picked at all my lps. the fish is beautiful but definitely i would not buy one again. because even though you can probably get one to eat sonner or later with different food variety. if you have a reef tank you are also risking the cbb picking at your corals. he may not at first but sonner or later they can turn on your corals

Good luck Jay, hopefully he will develop an appetite for aptasia :)

kept his appetite, ate PE mysis last night.

This morning, RIP :(

It was by itself, water parameters were right on, no temp spike.

<sigh>

It's so hard with some of these guys. I have gone through 7 leopards and no joy. I think I want to give up on difficult fish. Why are the gorgeous ones always so hard?

Oh my gosh Jay, so sorry to hear that :(, you just never know with those guys....one day they seem perfectly fine, the next day....
