Thanks SeaCilla - I use a home grown LED solution. During the morning and evening only the blue LED's are on (455nm "royal blue") that's when some of these shots were taken.

My rocks are actually not completely covered in coraline - must be something in there munching on it. They're white/brown/purple - just the lights that make them look blue.

The tank is still trucking along but I've had some major setbacks. Over the last two months I lost both anthias and my zoanthids have been very unhappy. I was not incredibly careful with my parameters and am not quite sure what's up. Recently I experimented in dosing ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid) with terrible consequences - this was almost a week ago and my zoas have not opened back up yet. Additionally, all coral is slightly retracted. Xenia are particularly affected.

I purchased a fairy wrasse and 4 more Chromis two weeks ago - the wrasse was picked on by the Orchid Dottyback until it was at death's door. I removed it from the tank and have it in QT, but it has yet to eat and I'm 50 50 on whether he'll make it. Similarly, of the 4 chromis I added only one survived. This was partially due to the brutal pecking order, and partyly because of what an a** this dottyback is.

Over the past week I've tried removing it the pseudochromis but unfortuantely it seems that the fish is smarter than I. Right now I'm looking into large water change options.

Been a while - moved to a 30g and still trying to get to a stable state after ~4 months. It has been neglected a bit, but keeps on trucking. Biggest issue has been nuisance algae necessitating H202 dips, you can see the unhappy trumpet coral in one pic. I will start dosing vinegar soon as the skimmer is super-powered but not dredging much up.

No macro lens, just a canon + 50mm and a cheap underwater camera.

Another update with some color correction. Looking back on my older pics - I need to get my act together. Coral is not looking very healthy lately.

That is a packed tank, awesome! Everything is looking happy and healthy.
Why is your light fixture so high off of the water surface?
