Apex controller upgraded?

I used the Apex controller when I had my last tank setup, took it down about 7 years ago. Would that controller work well still, or should I look to upgrade? They seem to be the pretty similar to what out now, this is a picture of what mine looks like. Found the picture on the web, my unit is packed away, I can get an actual pic of it soon if needed.

nothing wrong with previous apex setups, only downfall is the new trident isn’t compatible with the older models
