When a Csb has lineage what proves its origin? Is it merely the honor System, or do they come with some type of documentation?

I guess you could technically sequence some key part of its genome - if you knew what sequence to look for or had a reputable reference.

It's more or less honor system, but there is some element of personal accountability too. If you buy a coral or anemone that's super fancy and supposedly has some lineage, make sure it LOOKS indistinguishable from the real deal.

If you have seen csb anemones in person, they look so vivid, even compared to "nice" RBTAs. If somehow you get scammed into buying an incredibly vivid anemone that isn't actually descended from the one you are interested in, I would argue that it doesn't matter at all, since you got an incredibly vivid anemone.

That being said, buy stuff from people you trust, locally if possible. If you buy a coral from a club member, they are very unlikely to scam you and then have to run into you in person and on the forums.

Buying a coral or anemone from some random dude on the internet who mails it to you is a different ballgame.
