I'm just investigating live black worms for extra food for Puff, my mandarin. He's eating frozen food so I'm not worried about feeding him just wondering where one would pick up live black worms and if one were to stick them in their tank if they're bad? Do you drop them in and they reproduce like copepods?

Thanks for the info...

I never could get my mandarin to eat them. They do sell them at Tropic Isle, but I don't think many places carry them. Furthermore, they are freshwater worms, so they die about a minute after you put them in, so no they will not multiply.

I've only used them for FW but never had any issues. I fed them to my dwarf cichlids when I had a breeding program going.

They should be easy to get but they do die quickly in marine aquaria. They should be kept in the refrigerator and rinsed often. Used them with freshwater fish for years, come to think of it a lot of Apistos as well!
