My powerhead holding bracket snapped!

Had a little sandstorm in the tank this evening.
The magnet mounting bracket for my Maxijet powerhead broke.
Snapped in two places right at the very top.
I can imagine a few reasons:
-That's the thinnest, most fragile part of the apparatus
- Right at the top, it gets blasted by the MH lights
- The powerheads are modded with PH Reef's propeller, and are on a wave maker, so the on/off cycle causes frequent jostling of the powerhead.

I'm thinking I'll just put apiece of acrylic or plastic right where it broke and super glue the hell outta the thing. The extra plastic should provide some strength.

Any better ideas? Any warnings?

That's a first for me. I think you should take a pic and post it so we can all see exactly where it broke. That would be a bummer if you were on vacation for any length of time and weren't home to see it.

looks like an easy fix - even for me.
