Need help with RBA! Pls

So I picked up this RBA a couple weeks ago from LFS. At the store there were a couple options one of the bigger anemone’s were closed up and a couple medium sized RBA were fully open looking good. I told the person helping me I was looking for a large healthy RBA to hopefully get to host my large clown pair. He ended up talking me into the bigger closed one since it was attached to the glass not a rock like the other medium sized RBA. After getting home & drip acclimating and placing the anemone it started leaking brown blackish stuff for several days. It’s been a couple weeks and this is what I’m seeing now. The RBA seems to have a large open mouth. I have not fed it yet as I was trying to let it acclimate and get settled. Does this look too far gone? Any suggestions, tips and insight would be helpful. Thanks!

When anemones don’t like their conditions they’ll excrete their zooxanthellae (the algae in their tissue that gives them their color). This will make them look translucent and washed out. I would check all your parameters and make sure those are in check first. I wouldn’t feed anything because it’s too weak to digest it and might further the problem. If the mouth continues to gaps open it’s a bad sign and I’d probably take it out before it rots in the tank.

If it's still stuck on something, leave it be,
If it starts floating around or goes flat take it out.
You can always do the smell test. But usually when they die it becomes a tumble weed in the flow.

I just pulled a green BTA, it was shrunk and excreting zoozynthely constantly. Although it was still alive I still pulled it from the tank. I didn't want it affecting any of my prized possessions (black widow) it's a tough decision to make but keep the best interest of your tank in mind. I've done the opposite before and left one in to see if it would bounce back and my other Nems got destroyed. I never have luck mixing greens with the heard

Yeah it’s the only nem in the tank atm and it hasn’t ever fully deflated as I’ve seen others do. It’s foot has always been firmly attached so I think I’ll just keep an eye on it for now and hope for the best. When I took those pics it was attached to the sandbed near a rock I had placed it on when first added to the tank, so I was able to move the sand and at that point just massage the foot and easily take it off the glass. After I took those pics I relocated it to a higher spot to see if it just needed some more light. I guess only time will tell.
