need some help and feedback fragging my carpet nem

ive been wanting and thinking about doing this for awhile, just read a lot of horror stories online. ok so far i know i have to take him out of the tank, get a sharp razor or knife place on a good clean cutting surface and cut through the mouth and the foot, so basically in half.....

what i dont know is-ive read online that they can expell toxins and whip out a tank, and it said to do a fresh dip for alittle while before placing back into the tank...now is just fresh ro or should this be fresh salt or just some tank water that will be deposed? also how long should i wait bfore letting the clowns host one of the halves? all help is appreciated and if i left anything out let me know

forgot to mention this is a green haddoni, about 12-14'' fully expanded

I might be wrong but I dont think you can cut a carpet,
do you have any references where people have successfully done this?

i read alot about doing this and the kill rate is almost 99.9 it will just die... carpets don't split

thanks, ya i was leary about doing it, but there are people online that have done it successfully from what i read and some not so lucky , but ill just leave it alone, id be real bs if it died
