I have a question for you folks.. can you list your tank size and and the amount of alkalinity you lose/replenish on a daily basis? Anyone who's read R.H. knows that 1 meq/L (2.8dkh) loss should equate into about 20ppm of calcium, barring no strange tank conditions causing consumption imbalance. It might be useful to also say if you are SPS/LPS and how heavily stocked (light/medium/heavy)

Thanks :D

Personally I think I'm losing about 3dkh/day easily in my 29 :eek::eek:

Tank size is a 280 and a 140 plumbed together 600 gal total system and I use 1.5 meg/l a day with a heavily stock Sps/Lps system

I have a 125 gallon, with sump a total of around 125 gallons actual water volume. I have a quite a few LPS and SPS that are growing well IMO. I consume 0.475 meq/l alk and 9.5ppm calc every day.

In my 29, I'm dosing 3dkh RH 2 part (split over 2 doses), plus limewater drip which his contributing 2-3 dkh.. so like 5-6dkh/day :p (or 40ppm calclium). something can't be right....
