I have this tunze nano skimmer (in tank) I had since maybe summer of last year.
It was hard to figure out when I 1st got it, never owning one before
I got the hang of how much to turn the venturi screw for just the right amount.
but about a couple of weeks ago I started noticing a very slight film on the top of my water
Now I have a small tank and enough current to disperse and couldn't figure it out
at first I thought I was feeding too much , if I cut back my fish would be in a frenzy
so I had some time today and cleaned out the skimmer
I didn't know this was something that I was supposed to maintain, especially not in 9 months
I cleaned off all the coraline and found a couple of dead small snails blocking the intake impeller & quickly got rid of them
Now it works great, film is gone and tank is crystal clear.
so how many times should I be cleaning this?
anyone have this skimmer can tell me?
