Thanks alot Frank, so I dissected one and inside is a few dozen tiny pink balls , also I cleaned the filter 45 days ago and they werent there? so your guess is as good as mine?

hmm the way the guy describted it,

it sounded like eggs
but he doesnt have much livestock

I think right now all is has is a cleaner shrimp
they seem big for cleaner shrimp eggs?

Oops I should have been more specific Frank ..I have red legged and blue legged hermits and a variety of snails..if that helps...

My cleaner shrimps used to lay eggs frequently.. however the eggs were pretty small.. certainly not the size of popcord seeds.. and they were white not pink.. not sure if thats the case with all cleaner shrimps..

I don't know if its just me, but it kinda looks like pieces of a mantis shrimp shell, the two things on top kinda look like those weird eyes they have.

Like s_kelley, I was thinking tunicates or sea squirts.

Maybe it could be zoanthids all retracted? I used to get them growing inside my HOT Magnum filter.
