xenia!!!

i am sick of xenia
it grows way too fast, two weeks ago i removed about 10 -15 heads
since then they just about doubled, its driving me crazey
i went to a lfs ,and they were selling a colony 8-10 heads for $65
i have about 5 times that right now!

Its a good thing that when i got a few stalks and it died. I was first started reefing back then and I think I paid 10bucks for them too!
I was a double loser. paid 10bucks for a couple stalks of xenia and couldnt keep it alive.

Xenia is a great starter coral but once you start running out of room in your tank it's the first to go. I still keep two stalks in our tank as I do like watching it pulse. Wish there was a slower growing variety though as I have to weed them out every other month or it will take over. Unless you have an exotic superman pink/purple polka dot strain it will be hard to give away.

Its funny, the thing that got me into reefing was "the cool little pink hands". Hehehe, now it's hard to control it. I can't wait to go get some small rocks to frag it too, my lfs gives half of what they sell it for in credit!

PRTA79, ask your LFS if they are willing to give you credit in trade for xenia.
