Disaster! Glass Cracked! (LOTS of pics)

So.... What do I do now? I imagine I will have a huge die off due to temp and salinity swings, right? In the couple hours it took to remove everything from the tank many things were exposed to air, and temps were dropping in all containers. When the water leaked the ATO made an attempt to keep the water level up, but only had about 2 gallons of RO to use, so the salinity is not too bad.

Oh man! That sucks! ....Hope you don't lose anything. At least you were still awake, if that had happened after you went to sleep, you would have woken up to a dry tank 
Hope you get back up and running quick, if you are near RI and need a foster tank to put some stuff in while you rebuild and cycle or whatever, I have space in my tank for some stuff, you are welcome to it.

Run carbon and plan a water change today, also have a product like amquell on hand and watch for an ammonia spike.
I've broken tanks the exact same way before, when adding a baffle like that it's super important to leave a gap between acrylic and glass (expansion joint) as glass and acrylic will expand and contract at different rates.

Oh yeah, hard lesson learded here too. Acrylic is hygroscopic. It will absorb water and expand, quite a bit. I cracked a tank from a DIY Calpho style overflow. Allow a little over 1/8" gap and "float" the baffle in the silicone next time. A trick you can use (if you have the time) is to submerge the baffle for awhile to let it expand before cutting it to the final size.

I picked up a 40 gal breeder from Petco in wareham (the new one off 195) and they had one more at the time. (about a week ago)
I've got a 46 bowfront we used for freshwater (currently empty) if you want to go that way. Not drilled, save a few $ over a new 40.

I am right in Concord, if i can find a tank can you drill it today? I can probably go at least few days in the containers everything is in now, but after today I am working 3-11 every day until the weekend.
Thank you for the offer, but a 46 bowfront is two tall for the space I have. I am going to check petco for the 40 breeder. That is were I bought the first one.

I know you said you were tight on space, but I have a 75RR with a stand I won't need for another month if you need something quick to hold you over. I can even supply a sump if needed. I'm in Norton.
