glass tops

If you have a canopy and it sounds like you do. A simple light diffusing cage will keep all your fish in the tank.
This is what I have and it works wonder.

THAT THING IS AWESOME!!! u should call it Alcatraz!! :)

another suggestion for keeping jumpers in the tank with no glass is using the plastic needle point sheets you find at any craft store. I bought a few sheets of those and just laid them across the top of the tank. works perfect, plus you can barely see them. And you can cut them with scissors to fit around any obstructions!

Im going to asume that any tank with with a glass top is more likely run into overheating problems in the summer then ones without one.

I tried keeping glass tops on my tank but it's just a PITA.
You'll find that you're constantly opening them. And the salt creap that builds up blocks out a lot of light.I have to clean the glass on my light fixture once a week. But that done by simply tilting the JBJ back and using a damp cloth.
With the glass top it was, take them off, make sure they don't drip on the floor, take them to the shower...lol,then dry, back on.
