MP40 question

With LED's out of the way, we are saving up for our next investment on the reef, 1 or 2 mp40's. I'm sick of looking at the 7 koralia powerheads in the tank, lol.

I just had 1 question

We want to eliminate all of the koralias if possible, so should we get 2 mp40's for our 75 gallon, or will 1 provide enough flow. Its 95% sps so great flow is a must. Thank you for any input

2... i use two on my 75g, and the flow is absolutely incredible... I attribute 75% of my corals health to those two mp40's... by far the best investment i have ever made in this hobby, and worth every single penny...

I keep one at each end of my display...

1 comes no where near what 2 can do... for multiple reasons...

vortechs for the win! lol

I got rid of 5 Koralias with the edition of a 40 and a 10 to my 90 and I'm also running heavy on sps. Saw coral do things I've never seen before in a matter of hours.

I would use 2, you kind of need them to work off each other.

Personally I would, and do use two. You could get away with one with the addition of supplemental flow but you'll want two after seeing one in action.

Thank you for the input. We will be getting 2, hopefully before the new year. I can't wait. I've wanted one since the first time I saw them in action. Plus it will be two less things we need to buy when we finally move into a house and build the 200+gallon tank we've always wanted, lol

If you become a paid member on Boston reefers you get 5% off at aquacave this will save you more then the membership cost on one purchase.

$444.95. You save $22.25 with the brs discount. Not a ton but better then nothing. With 2 you save $44.50.
