thought it might be fun to post some growth shots from some of my more extablished and grown in sps colonies... of course some of the new pics will be repeats of what you have seen so far, but they will be accompanied by some pics of when i first get them along with a date for reference

New Goodies

went to my first meeting today, and enjoyed myself thoroughly...

adding some new stuff as it acclimates and goes through dipping now

So, needless to say, i got some sweet additions, and i am very pleased with my first real encounter with BRS... looking forward to the future, and the inevitable good friends that will come out of it all

PS: that ORA Pearlberry i got today, is easily one of the best frags i have ever gotten... thank you Mandrake (Dan), you made me very happy with this beauty... incredible color, which is gonna look great in my system, and a good 2.5" tall with MANY long, grown, and established branches... an amazing frag from what is sure to be an absolutely awesome mother colony... again, grown by Mandrake (Dan)

I love the pic of the monti, it looks like something is melting over the tiles.

I love the pearl berry also, I got a small frag and it has not grown much in the past couple months besides encrusting over the plug. defiantly one of my slowest growing coral

thanks ray... i really like how that one is turning out as well... in another couple months, maybe a bit more, it should be grown over most of the bottom larger tile, which is a 4" square... at that time i will place that tile on top of something about an inch larger... my goal is too have it keep growing down, which with my flow and lighting it should do, and eventually have a nice large encrusting monti "pyramid"

when i got it was nothing like the color it is now... it was more of a brown purple base, with darker green polyps... upon placing in my system, the two small chips which this mini colony derive from, bleached out, and returned with the colors you see in the pic... however, the pic does it no justice imo... i have been very lucky with this one... someday i hope to have a nice large pyramid like mat of it...

and the pearlberry, well, like i said, im so happy about it, i jus might bust out my happy dance right here, right now LMAO...

but as always, thanks for the compiment bud, it is greatly appreciated...

acclimated, dipped, and starting to open nicely... gotta couple other things than the ones you see here, but they are still being serviced by hermits and snails

again, cell phone pics, so please excuse the color and clarity... the pearberry is at a bad angle, it looks much fuller and has a couple more branches you cant see in the angle of view... the tips really have a nice ?berry? color to them... almost like a violet sort of hue...

thanks again for the sweet frags guys! if i havent mentioned it, you can see the lokani i got from htp4u2nv (shawn i believe)... another great frag to start your own colony with... love it

a few new FTS shots...
i have 9 more different sps peices on the frag racks and 8 more zoa/palys that will eventually make their way to a tile/column... the sps arent gonna fit right now, so until uprgrade they may jus stay on the racks... figure i got some time...
