Petco - Shrewsbury

Went to Petco in Shrewsbury today to check out the coral selection. Talk about disappointment. Green hair (or something else) algae on a lot of the frags, plastic pricing things in the tank all over the place, corals themselves looked pretty poor, a couple SPS frags were half skeleton/dead.

I was surprised because my first couple trips there since I've been in the hobby were quite the opposite. I purchased my red/green worm brain and duncans there.

My previous visit there should have clued me in things were changing... the big "map" they had of the corals/pricing was gone along with other smaller changes that didn't seem quite right.

I was also there, today. The frag tank was a disaster! It usually looks somewhat decent but today lots of hair algae etc. I have noticed their plastic coral label are always knocked over and its a PITA to figure out which coral is which with the lousy ID board. Sometimes they have some real goodies in there though and some rare stuff. There SW fish selection has gotten alot better albeit i wouldnt buy their fish..
