Sedra Mesh Wheel Mod DIY Video

Kevin,

He may be willing to do it, but you need to ask for sure a head of time. He warned me of this when he interviewed me for the webcast for my 'Murphy's' articles.

Yea I don't want to step on any toes.

If I can suggest everybody should download Itunes and subscribe to the talking reef podcasts as they are pretty informative and he does some good interviews with different guests. Plus with Itunes you could listen to Marc's podcast at reefcast ;)

Joe, I'm up for some more of that mesh too, let me know if you gonna get it.

Thanks.

Guys & Gals,

Yeah..when Podcasts are released, it gets crazy for the first few days. There are thousands of "queued" accounts on the feed burners. It takes a while for the subscriber traffic to subside. In some cases, people don't even know they are downloading. If they are "subscribers", their iTunes may be churning away without their knowledge. AND... yes, it's a big file. Gustavo likes to talk ;) Kiddin bro!

Rob is pretty easy going. I'm sure if you downloaded and I spoke to him, he'd let a copy be hosted elsewhere. Yes, he does the iTunes compatible version. This is based upon his statistics and subscriber profiles on his site. I made the original and may still have it in an AVI or other format.

Oh.. and to get to aquatic eco systems

Great job on the podcast guys. Made me want to do the mod to my sedra 3500. :D
I would also be in for some enkamat.

I guess the downloading issues are better now.

Thanks for the feedback. Wait until you see our Acrylic 101 that Mr. Neo and I are editing now.

Dave

Joe I can use some too. I like to see the difference if any between the stuff I'm using and the Enkamat.

I ordered a roll. That should take care of all of us and then some.

A few pics of a mesh-modified Hagen 802 on my little bakpak II.

bakpak-1.jpg

Just fired it up. ** note no collection cup. I wanted to see what kind of foam build-up I could produce

bakpak-2.jpg

Starting to foam. Pretty small bubbles. So far so good.

bakpak-3.jpg

Foamage . Definitely an improvement from the standard 802 w/out mesh. Not bad for 5 minutes.

bakpak-4.jpg

Here it is utilizing the crappy little collection cup. It seems to be sucking scum more efficiently and thats all that matters.

BTW Dave, I guess I hi-jacked your thread. Sorry homey :)

That is cool, are you sure you will have the mesh at the meeting?

BTW Dave, I guess I hi-jacked your thread. Sorry homey :)

Why would I care if you hijacked a thread and put more useful information in there? :) Isn't that what this is about? I know Gustavo and I didn't record the video for the "entertainment factor" ;)

Rock on Scavo!!

Dave

Hey Scavo - Send Hahnmeister on RC a PM. He's got a meshmodded AC thats pulling more than a deltec aquabee. I think he built a quick and dirty shroud for it, and more than doubled the air intake. Theyre absolutely great pumps to play around with.

Rich,

I saw that. Still a hell of a lot nicer than my quick and dirty experiment. I will have to drop him a PM.

Got the Enkmat. Gee, I don't think I have enough :P
