OK, for that set up, I'd install a Barb X FPT X Barb Tee in the tube connected to the pump, then install the probe fitting in the tee. Would cost about $5 at HD. (does that make sense?)

yes it does make sense. thanks..

i spent some time getting acquainted with aqua controller jr today. i like it over all. it is not very new user friendly for sure. i think that's a bit to do with the almost unlimited range of options available! i will post pics of the control center. also a few of my corals sure took a hit being on basic life support (guess not life supporting enough). i am pretty hopeful they will not die completely.

Looks good. I just built a DIY probe holder, and its working great. I did just like John said using a 1/2in JG fitting. I didnt have to drill the backside out. I had seen people doing that, and on 1 I had I did do it, but I bought another one, and it wasnt ness. I dont know if it was a different brand, but it went in fine. I wasnt able to get it out once in, so make sure you are ready to install it.

I used a 3/4in T, and installed reducers to put the 3/8-1/4in hose, and 3/8-1/2in for the probe. It took about 5min to make, and cost about $10. Its been running for 3wks, and working perfect.

here's the power center. it might look like a tangled mess but this is good for me!
thats cool dc. i started to realize however if i use the aqua controller to run the Ca reactor i will not have a reading on the tank. so i may get the milwakee controller for the ca reactor...still bouncing it around though

i forgot to post the pic.oops!

here's my first full tank shot. i got most things where they will go. i am mostly sitting and hoping that the stuff that got hurt in the move will come back.

I see new fish in there

the naso is the noob. got the room and i wanted the fish.. i was looking for a naso or a shoal as sort of my center piece fish. and i grabbed the naso at krystal clear aquatics.

Hey that tang is sweet..was wondering how you liked that controller for the korilias, i know your biased on the tunze's but im already begining to plan out my new setup and was curious how they were working out.

i like them overall. i may buy bigger pumps for the outside ones in the future. you can use preset patterns or you can set up your own to make any thing you want. i have not messed with that too much because i have been focused on coral placement and getting the aquacontroller up and running.
thing is for the korillia controllable is the pumps are not expensive. if i buy a tunze i gotta spend 3 bills on the controller then 2 on the pumps and the old "non titanium shaft ones would break and it is a sealed housing so ya gotta get a whole new pump. but now even the new titanium ones are having problems so if one breaks you are out a couple hundred dollars" the korillia pumps are less expensive and i have always had good experience with the company. costumer service is good. the quotes are a paraphrase from takara 4/18/10 ( lol dude)

14k 150w de ;)

And for powerheads, I'm just pessimistic.. aka they all suck :)

thanks jay man we enjoyed your store! and will be making it back for sure

sorry for the noobish question. but what does the 'wavemaker' do?

amazing tank!

it is a controller that can cycle the pumps form low revs to high to randomize the flow better.
