They're a pain and very stubborn! I have 3 I'd like to get rid of and I need to get them off the rocks.
I've only ever cut them when I haven't been attached to rockwork.Does the foot loosen up when cutting? It's the biggest pain to get them off of the rocks.
I found that doing it out of water is easier if you can take the rock out, dangle the BTA downward and let gravity does some work for you..it will take some time....They're a pain and very stubborn! I have 3 I'd like to get rid of and I need to get them off the rocks.

I still don't know if I would feel comfortable doing it! Worries me a bit. Corals are no problem.I found that doing it out of water is easier if you can take the rock out, dangle the BTA downward and let gravity does some work for you..it will take some time....
Gotta make sure your tank is stabilized and have enough trust in it lol. I wasn't feeling comfortable either and nature forced my hand lol, I was glad it went okI still don't know if I would feel comfortable doing it! Worries me a bit. Corals are no problem.
I remember the first time I did it I was scared but they recovered pretty quickly.I still don't know if I would feel comfortable doing it! Worries me a bit. Corals are no problem.

Yeah it seems like it. Mine didn't cut right in the middle and both seems to grow a mouth nowEven if they don't have a mouth, it would grow one?
No kidding. That’s pretty neat. Maybe one day if I’m feeling brave.Yeah it seems like it. Mine didn't cut right in the middle and both seems to grow a mouth now

The next time you do that, would you be able to share pics please?I would always cut right down the middle of the mouth
I can try but I don't have any BTAs currently but I want to do a clownfish harem tank in the future so I might be doing this a lot...The next time you do that, would you be able to share pics please?
That’s a beautiful Lobo. I used to use a solid red one but lost itRecently noticed one of the lobo is slowly developing a blue inner rim, it started off with fully red, then developed a semi yellow outer rim. Looking forward to see how much potential this guy have.

Thanks! Yeah it came solid red, found it at a LFS up in NH and was told someone traded it. I saw speckles of yellow and blue when I got it so I was hoping it'll develop more color. I am glad I took the bet. That’s a beautiful Lobo. I used to use a solid red one but lost it

Thanks Paul. Yeah mine is also happier some day and not so fluffy another day. Plates are weird...they are so sensitive and sometimes on a bad day idk if it's something to do with the water or my dusky throwing sands everywhereGreat shot, mine been on the decline for months for some reason.
