While I’ve not personally used it, keep in mind that the Apex takes sensor readings at a maximum of once per minute. So with the Apogee, you can get a read in a spot and immediately move to the next area and get a reading, while the PMK will take a reading, wait 60s, take another reading, wait 60s, etc. The PMK is more useful for mapping par in one spot throughout the day or over a longer period of time, whereas the Apogee is better for mapping the whole tank.
Sorry, I don’t have any experience with accuracy or longevity, but I’ve seen them pop up for sale a few times on the site, so hopefully someone here who has used it can chime in.
