Brittle star issue??

So has anyone here ever heard a brittle star (one of the big big, did I mention big Green ones) decapitating a leather coral? Just trying to figure out what is happening to my corals.

you don't have by chance an urchin?
I had a pencil urchin that ate my leathers
Brittle stars are detrius eaters and believe they wouldn't do any harm

ya, I stay away from pencil urchins in my reef. I know normally brittle stars wouldn't want anything to do with a leather but it just seems it was all around the leather and next thing I knew the leather was in two pieces! Only have two tangs, some red scooter blennies, red leg hermits, sand stars, and nassarious so I am at a loss. Thanks for getting back to me though.
