Can corals survive two days w/o lights?

Yesterday, I did a black out to help destroy the recent dinoflagellates attack. Should I do a second day? After that I have to reduce the lighting to 5 hours a day and increase from there. Right noe the tank only has filtered light from the window blinds. What to do?

Two days without light won't bother them a bit.
I've had Zoos recover after spending two MONTHS without any light.

You think sarcos and xenia will be ok? With light and nutrients being a food source I think I'll skip the recommended ph hike. I removed a lot of rock and was able to siphon much of the grunge.

Yeah they will be ok. When you turn them back on make sure you don't keep them on too long as this may shock things!!!

That makes me feel better. I'll keep them on for 4 hours tomorrow. Then maybe add an hour every other day.
