crocea clam has white lump on shell

i have a crocea clam and it has a white lump growing on the shell that is spewing a web like material in my tank i have no clue what it is if anyone has any ideas let me know this thing is getting bigger i have to find a way to eliminate this thing but first find out what it is

Sounds like it could be a vermentid snail. They feed by shooting out that web like thing your talking about. Most that I have seen grow in a circular pattern but can look like a white lump. Google pics of vermentid snail to see. I have superglued the top of them shut in the past to get rid of them, it seals them in and they croak. good luck!

needle nose pliers...just snap it off...

I had one on my maxima clam and I just snapped it off with pliers like Wrassefan said

I believe you were right it does look like a vermentid snail. But its comes out of a barnical like caseing that seems to be growing. I do plan on getting rid of it tonite I was just worried stressing out my clam
