CTARS 2010 Conference

The date is set - April 25, 2010 @ the Mohegan Sun Casino. This year we are going to have a couple of new speakers including Chris Clough - he is an LED lighting expert from AI. We have Vince Rado – he a Marine Biologist with over 40 years of propagating history (most notably with ORA). And Sanjay Joshi will round out our talks (so far).

We have a full room of vendors including Cherry Corals and Marco Rocks scheduled.

The doors will open at 8 AM and admission is only $15 for those early birds registering by 12/31 and parking is free. All the details can be found at CMAC V.

Sorry I missed this. Yes, raffle tickets are the same price on line as at the show. On-line gives you the chance to have a little extra cash in your hand for corals.

The conference is only 5 weeks away (but you only have until April 17th to order tickets online for $20 – after that, tickets will be available at the door for $25).

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, Vice Rado will be unable to make the conference. CTARS would like to wish Vice the best of luck and look forward to potentially having him speak at another conference in the future.

  • Office automation, networking technology, Internet and web-based technologies, sales and marketing
  • Artificial intelligence design, coding, and implementation
  • Data Center design and implementation (chief architect)

Education:
Master's Degree in Systems Management from the University of Denver, Denver, Colorado;

Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from California Baptist College, Riverside, California.

Now for what you’ve all been waiting for! The conference schedule!


The doors open to the public at ~8am.


The speaker schedule for this Sunday will be as follows:

9:30 am - Randy Reed will be leading off with a talk on nutrition and feeding your reef.

10:45 am - Chris Clough is next and will be speaking on advances in LED lighting for reef aquariums.

12:00 pm Lunch (Fish have to eat too!)

1:00 pm – After lunch Bob Fenner will be giving a presentation on marine conservation.

2:15 pm - Last, but not least, Sanjay Joshi will be giving a presentation on T5’s and metal halide lighting.


We’ll take a quick break after Sanjay’s talk for everyone to stretch their legs etc.

At ~3:30 the coral auction will begin. We have a lot of nice frags lined up from club members plus some other goodies.

Following the coral auction we will begin the raffle.


The doors will close at ~5pm.
