Display/sump/fuge design help please.

Hey everyone, so I have a 40g breeder. I am going to have it drilled and I think I will end up making a sump with a 29 or a 20L. My issue is that with most stands aside from getting one custom built, it looks like I wont be able to fit much more inside the stand and I am trying to work in another tank as a refugium. I have been been told that putting a refugium inside of the sump is the wrong way to do it. That the refugiums are made to have very little flow and that its too much to put it in the sump. Can anyone confirm or deny that? and can anyone give me an idea of how I can incorporate it all together or anything else? Thanks.

what you could do is have your return go into a T and feed your display and fuge and split your sump into 3 sections make the first section your return from tank overflow the second Chamber your return pump and the third your fuge

I ran this 20 long setup under a 75 gal. I split the drain to enter the sump and the fuge. they both spilled over into the center return.

Sorry been awhile.

Ya sorry for jumping the thread but hey Bill. +1 I did it the same way. I actually do it that way with my basement sump. I use a bean overflow and have one drain in my fuge and one drain in the sump(emergency drain is here also).
