Do Damsels attack shrimp?

I have a couple blue Damsels in a 46 bow. It's Deb's softy tank. I put 2 cleaner shrimp in the tank and both are dead. The tank is shareing a sump with my 75 gal sps tank and the shrimp in there are fine. So I know it's not something like copper in the system. Only thing I can think of is the Damsels. I've never kept them before and Deb likes the color so...there they are. Will they attack cleaner shrimp?

I kept a blue damsel in the same tank as fire, peppermint, and cleaner shrimp and I never once saw her bother a shrimp. How long did the shrimp last in the tank? Maybe acclimation problems?
