Electricity and salt water ba

Just a reminder to make sure all your power cords are up and away from the water. I had one extension fall down next to the sump and got some salt spray. This was at night. I woke to the tank vertically silent, back up battery for vortech working. Luckily it blew the breaker. The extension was mented and black smoke up the wall. This was a close call for me. I'm installIng gfi on the plug now.

I'm going to make it a habit to check connections are up and away from everything at all times.

I slept through it. Found the melted chord in the am. Good thing the breaker blew or you would have seen my burnt down house on the news.

I hate close calls...... The only thing worse than flood is fire that makes me nervous in this hobby. Gfi and drip loops!!! And good plumbing.
