Just had some arguments the past few weeks at one of the BBS in NY I frequent, and this thread came about: http://www.manhattanreefs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10295

I don't know everyone in this community, or their ethics, but this is very disturbing to me and people in our locale that are willing to fae facts. More needs to be done to sustain our hobby, and I feel some reef clubs may be some sort of a start.

The thing is, most of the time, our suppliers DONT know where their fish come, and when they do, they have to take the wholesalers word on it.

I totally disagree that quality is contingent on price though.

If you want to guarentee chemical free, net caught species, look for Hawaiin species. The Aquarium Gallery seems to specialize in fish from Hawaii...
