Gorgonian Health Concern

Keeping it Simple!
I have an orange-yellow Gorgonian (Sea Rod) with white polyps that has been doing great. The polyps extend nicely and it has been very healthy. Recently a couple of the rods have turned partially red and one has fallen off. As requried, it is low in the tank and has low level of lighting and strong water flow. Any ideas?

I had one of those for a total of about 9 months before it melted away. It was fine for the first 6mo, and then it was a fairly rapid decline although nothing in my tank had changed. From what I've read, this is pretty standard for these gorgs- they don't do well in our tanks. The photosynthetic one I have (purple w/brown polyps) is doing great and grows new branches. I've fed both of them oyster eggs every time I feed my mandarin, which has helped. Bottom line, they're beautiful, but don't last too long :(
