Help! Will Green Slimer Slime hurt other corals?

smcnally

Tankless
My slimer slimed up like crazy when I put it in the tank. Now my tank is covered in slimer cobwebs. Should I baste this off of everything until it is skimmed out?

its common for a sps coral to slime up under stress (like being in a baggy for hours) and a slimer is just , well slimeyer. I wouldn't worry. it wount hurt anything. just let it aclimate and it will be fine

That's good to hear. It was pretty pissed. It looks like it stopped, but holy crap!I've never seen that much slime produced!

i would get the slimer slime off of any of your other corals as a safe measure
Yeah, I've been blowing it off with a baster. I could be doing this all night.....

Go lightly this could cause the others to slime as well just adding to it.

Looks like it cleared up. There's a little on the slime still, but it doesn't look like a crypt in there anymore.
