This was sold to me as a diphreutes, but after closer inspection I'm pretty sure this is a acuminatus, because i can only count 11 spines, and the snout is a little longer. Can anyone positively id this for me before i return it?
actually it looks more like singularis than acuminatus..
since their appears to be no white bar..between the last dark band and the yellow on the tail portion...
I'm not looking at my book right now, but I thought the two were differentiated by whether the last black stipe ended before or after the anal fin, as well as whether the body below the mouth is rounded or more flat.

wow good point.. i didnt even notice that. but i dont think diphreutes or acuminatus has another white bar? I'm not sure now. but yeah. I'll just keep it and see if it nips corals or not.
