high temp

MAReefer1

lol, I have a tank, sorta
Got my new lights hooked up, and had them on for 6 hours to test it out... temp went up to 85. I know I obviuosly have to put EDIT:FANS on, and raise the fixture alot higher for now. But what I want to know is, how many fans should I use. I have a 2x250 watt hqi aqua spacelight. Should I have the fans blowing on the water or on the fixture?

thanks,
Donal.

I have a Aquaspace with 3 - 250 HQI's I use one fan blowing across the water My water temp only varys 1 - 1 1/2 degrees with lites on

210 gallon but that really doesn't matter Place the fan so the air is blowing across the water It's blows cool air on the water & a good amount of the heat from the light away

thanks, I went out and picked up two fans, got them blowing from oppesite sides across the water, and its keeping it nice and cool.
