How Best to frag a Hammer coral

What is the best way to frag a Hammer coral? I ahve seen it done where you just take some clippers and cut off a branch. Is this the ideal way to do it or is there a better solution.

I use a diamond wheel on my Dremel. A hacksaw also works. The stalk can be kind of tough to cut with clippers.

Just make sure that you cut it below the flesh.

If it's the branching hammer, I just break it off at the "Y" of a branch.

Mine is pretty brittle and breaks easy.

I have snapped them by hand and used bone cutters. Hammers, IMO, are one of the easiest corals to frag, just do it... like Nike
