I'm pretty sure he is upsidedown the lighter part that is folded together is the foot that is supposed to be touching the rock. His mouth would be facing down and to the rock. He does not look happy, but if he is still sticky, try placing him on a rock out of strong current with the mouth up.

it has been moving around all day, I really don't know why. ive moved it to another low current area and its still moving a bit.

I placed it down to the right and already it has begun to move.

Jeff, it looks fine to me. I think it just has not found a "perfect" spot yet. Usually when BTA split, it happens pretty quick. I usually saw it one piece before I went to bed, the next morning, there're 2 already.

Something may have changed to make it uncomfortable. One of mine stayed in one spot and then about a week ago it was roaming all over. Come to find out, my temp probe was leaking 24VDC into the tank (I felt the tingle in my arm). I fixed the probe, and he's stayed put since. It could have been a coincidence, but I really think it was the cause.
