Is this cap thick enough for ya?

Someone made a comment at the auction about my Solomon purple Cap donations & how thick they were. Those frags/small colonies came from this cap in the pic. Is that a thick enough base?

Hey... I heard from somewhere, don't remember where, that the more flow the thicker the sps. True??

Very true...but you have to have a strong calcium intake too!! Flow won't so much cause a Cap to get thicker in my experience though...Just flatten out the growth from swirling to plating.

It's placed up high & actually the flow is quite restricted but I would say it still has a semi moderate flow. I don't thing flow caused this to get this thick I would say calcium intake as well as age & speed of growth!! I've had this Cap for a very long time, My tank is what you would call on the nutrient poor side so my growth tends to be slower & thicker. (on my sps that is) So you be the judge!!
