Keeping live food

wmcguire

What? It wasn't me!
I've been buying brine shrimp at a LFS and keeping them in the refrig until wither they are gone or die. Is there a better way to keep them? Such as in the sump tank?

Live brine shrimp

You can keep them in a 2 liter coke bottle with the top cut off at room temperature. It is important to have a food source (wheat works) and also a small air pump. You only need to do this once a day, but I keep mine in at a very slow pace all day. They will continue to breed. You can buy brine shrimp eggs and brine shrimp aquaria cheaply at Carolina Biological or Connecticut Valley Biological.
