Does anyone have any experience/recommendations for am LED lighting unit or fixture for about a 30 Gallon tank? Id like to be able to grow hard corals in this tank....
I've had an AI SOL Blue over my 34gal Solana for about 2 months now. The SPS seem quite happy. The unit is about 12" above the water and the LEDs are only set to about 54% power. I tried setting the power to around 58% but my bird's nest (about 8" from the top of the water) started bleaching after 3 days. It took about 2 weeks for the bird's nest to recover.
I also had 2 Marineland Reef Ready LEDs before the AI SOL. The SPS seemed pretty happy under those as well, but I only used them for about 1 - 2 weeks before I RMA'd them and picked up the AI SOL.
