Looking for suggestions on a hang on back skimmer or help with my current one

I have an eshopps psk-75h right now and I'm just not happy with it. Every time I do a water change it puts micro bubbles in the tank for hours and stresses everything out. It also seems like I am constantly adjusting it to skim correctly. I've also heard that if the power goes out it has a tendency to over flow. I don't know if anyone has this skimmer or can suggest a different one that works and is simple to use and set up. I have a 20 gallon mixed reef tank.

I use and recommend Aquamax HOB skimmers for my JBJ 28 gallons, might be overkill for a 20 gallon but they have a smaller, non-HOB version as well. I haven't tried other skimmers though, since I've had good success with the Aquamax, so maybe there are even better options.
